17th Annual Race for the Ribbon

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
Since the Race for the Ribbon began in 2008, the purpose of our event has been two-fold, to commemorate my mom, Nancy, who lost her fight with cancer and also to raise awareness and funds for those afflicted with this disease. While a portion of the money raised will be donated to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, the majority of the funds will be donated to our beneficiary mentioned above. Our beneficiary has been financially burdened by this disease and could use assistance to help defray their medical and travel expenses. To date, our event has raised around $150,000 and I hope and pray to continue helping others coping with this life altering illness.
This year’s 5K fundraising event will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024
The race is part of the “Summer Racing Series” for the Seashore Striders.
