Inaugural Twilight 5k Run/Walk

A Seashore Strider Championship Series Event

Friday, July 22, 2016 - 7:00pm

Please note that this is an night/evening run. Registration will open at 6pm and race goes off at 7pm

Run or Walk 5K (3.1 miles) a beautiful course in Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes (park entrance is just South of the Cape May-Lewes Ferry), starting at Herring Point -  the Lewes side on the Gordons Pond Trail of Cape State Park. Awards ceremony at Herring Point overlooking the sunset. Awards presented to the male/female Overall and Master Champions, as well as the top three finishers in 16 age groups: 9U to 80+ & Special awards to top 10 females. A Seashore Strider Championship Series Event. See you at the Starting Line for this NEW event.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

6:00 – 6:55 pm race day registration and packet pick-up

7:00 Start of 5K race

Post party and Awards ceremony following 5K will be held at Herring Point (hopefully under the view of a beautiful sunset)

QUALIFIER:

Event #11 --- This event is a Seashore Striders Summer Racing Championship Series 5k qualifier. For more details click here.

BENEFIT:

The event will benefit local charities.

Course
The course will leave Herring Point and go North on the Main Road before making a U-Turn at the Youth Camp where the runners will then head south towards Rehoboth Beach. The runners will cross the bridge and continue to the turn-a-round where they will then head north again to the Herring Point Finish Line.
Registration

Early Registration- $20 through 7/1/16

Pre-Registration- $22 through 7/20/16

Race-Day Registration- $25 from 6:00-6:55 pm
